I've considered dropping a 4bt into my 85 1/2 ton, and most likely will if/when my 6.2 gives out. my dad does a lot with the 5.9 (6bt) engines. I would personally stick with a NV4500 trans, but make sure you get one with a new drive shaft in it because of the 5th gear ...I called it 4bt Durango #2 because of the other Durango project.
