D rated tires vs e rated

I cant speak for the F rated but you definitely feel the road with my E rated tires. 40 psi. Save the Manuals! I’ve got some F rated 33x12.5x20 Ridge Grapplers and I can’t recommend them in this size. They ride well enough and are wearing better than any tires I’ve ever had but they are extremely heavy.

I’m running E rated 33s at 35 psi cold. I find they ride smoother and quieter than the stock Bridgestone Duellers. I’m not experiencing a harsh or uncomfortable ride at all. Upgrading to a LR-D tire in the size mentioned will increase the capacity by 15 percent over the OE design (+the built in margin of safety).

Actually the rating for a D tire and an E tire is exactly the same at 65 psi within this group of tires. And both D & E are exactly the same as a C when all are at 50 psi. The chart covers them all.
