May 20, 2015. #1. we just acquired a 555D for our farm, the cab has a year of manufacture of 1995, the only other serial number I can find is on a plate on the frame behind left rear tire, It's AB26769 , is this the machines serial number or is there another plate somewhere?The backhoe will start up fine the frist time. Took battery out and had it tested and it's OK. When temp is OK it starts OK. When cold it either won't crank, or will start and die immediately once or twice and then won't crank at all.
