The housings were cracked on the M416 so I changed those out to the Gamma Goat lights. Those have metal housings compared to the M series which are plastic. I heard that some of the M series came with metal housings but I've never seen any.

One bit of advice before you start: Most M101 series trailers are less than 48 between the fender wells - something like 45 if I remember right. In my opinion that is an Achilles heel on a trailer this size and capacity. I would strongly suggest moving the fenders out to at least 50" between the wells before settling on axle dimension.The M101A2 and M101A3 are different trailers. Not only in wheels and hubs and an extra leaf in the springs, but they have inertial hydraulic brakes and even the beds are dimensionally different. Be sure when you look at dimension specs, images and drawings you are looking at an M101/M101A1 and not the later trailers. One issue are the wheels.…
