Pulling a well pump

I've read a few instructions and watched a few videos on pulling well pumps online. I was expecting to need to make a long T handled tool out of 1" pipe that I would lower into the well and screw into the top of a pitless adapter. When I took the cap off my well though, it looks a little different than what I've seen. See the image below.
