I press the button, the light comes on, and then a few seconds later goes off. I have already replaced the module behind the radio with a new part, and the same things happens. The passenger side works fine.By now you can see the burnt parts of the element where the wires shorted out. Slowly and carefully start to pull the element from the cushion going from the front of the seat to the back. Be careful because the 2 wired that connect to the element are at the back of the cushion nearest to the center console. Directly under the labelHere are the steps I used to replace the seat bottom heater pad: 1. Remove the screw from the rear underside of the plastic trim. I used a mirror to locate the screw head (Figure 1). It required a #2 screwdriver in my case.
