I did change the transfer case oil on my 2016 Z52 Murano, Both fill and drain plugs have O-rings and I reused them, Fill plug is 3/8" square, and drain is 10mm hex, I did unbolt the fill plug from above the front subframe - I used a 3/8" ratchet with two wobble extensions - in parallel with the drive shaft.
