I backed the bolts out a bit, put some silicone on them and got all of them to stop except one. I tried the same thing a couple times on the leaking bolt but no luck.

It could be rear seal of the trans or input seal of the t case. Yes that "joint" area should be dry with just the paper gasket in between. You need to make sure it's actually leaking from there and not above somewhere and leaking down there. Mar 5, 2012. #10. I have had my transmissions done for $995 in and out plus hard parts. Add a gear set and electronics and it was $1200 total. Add $100 to 'reseal' the transfer case.
